Research. Education. Extension. Outreach. These words describe what we do. Developing a scientific vision is a living dynamic procedure, a journey from theory to practice. This never ending journey is the keystone of our group. In addition, one of the main ambitions of our group is exactly this- to keep us “working as a group”. Each and every work that is produced here is an outcome of a team work. The team works together, and each result belongs to all team members. Being more than 20 years in the field, I have realized in practice that “there is no I in team”.

Entomology is an exciting science, that covers almost everything: biology, ecology, ethology, biotechnology, evolution and many many more. Therefore, our effort is to cover a wide area of entomological research: from insect control to insects for food and feed, from food safety to pesticide use, from the pre-harvest stages to the post-harvest stages of agricultural commodities, from integrated pest management to public health. The group aspires to be collaborative, critical and consequential. In principle, and in any of these aspects, the Science of Entomology must always come first.
